Charlie Hills has created a name for himself since he took over his father’s training license in England in August 2011. Just The Judge won the Irish 1,000 Guineas in 2013, and he later finished the year by defeating Chriselliam in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf on American soil. This was his maiden classic race victory. However, his most recent American success came with Just The Judge in the E. P. Taylor Stakes at Woodbine on October 19, 2014. He has continued to pile up victories on both sides of the Atlantic in 2014. With Just The Judge competing in the 2014 Breeders’ Cup, he hopes to maintain his perfect record there.

After returning to the UK, he worked as James Fanshawe’s assistant trainer for two years. After returning home, he finished his degree by working for his father before assuming business control in August 2011. When Just The Judge won the Irish 1,000 Guineas, Charlie was in charge at Faringdon Place for less than two years. Chriselliam, the Breeders Cup victor and European Champion two-year-old filly, quickly overtook her. Several elite horses have developed in recent years, notably, Irish 2,000 Guineas champion Phoenix Of Spain and two European Champion sprinters in Muhaarar and Battaash.

From individuals who have shares in syndicates to complete ownership and all in between, Faringdon Place accepts a variety of owners. Charlie and Philippa have two racing-obsessed boys, James and Eddie, who closely monitor events. Charlie is married to Philippa.

Father of C.Hills

His father’s name is Barry Hills. He was born on April 2, 1937. Moreover, if we talk about his profession, he was a retired British thoroughbred horse trainer. John, Michael, and Richard were the three sons born to Barry Hills and Maureen Newson during their first union. The twins Michael and Richard are retired jockeys still currently involved in the horse racing industry, while John (who passed away in 2014) was a horse trainer. After divorcing Penny Hills, he had two additional kids, Charles and George. Charles is a contemporary trainer in Lexington, Kentucky, and George offers bloodstock insurance.

Barry Hills served as Fred Rimell’s apprentice jockey in the middle of the 1950s, among others. He served as John Oxley’s head lad in 1959. He obtained his horse trainer certification in 1969 and started instructing horses at Lambourn’s South Bank Stables.
