FIFA’s New Next-Gen Features Are Not For PC

2 Mins read

In the recent update about FIFA 22, we have come to know that it will miss out on some next-generation features on the PC version and will have parity with PS4 and Xbox one rather than the next-gen consoles.

The new FIFA 22 PC version will be based on the current generation of consoles and lock some next-gen features for desktop football fans that have been much awaited for, which is very disheartening for PC gamers. This year’s new version was unveiled over the weekend, and FIFA 22 is boasting a lot about “hyper-motion,” which EA is calling the new animation technology that, according to them, uses motion capture and machine learning to generate a more believable experience with real-time animation.

It does look like an impressive technique to craft a more believable experience in matches in a very neat way. EA states that “A cutting-edge proprietary machine-learning algorithm learns from over 8.7 million frames of advanced match capture, then writes new animations in real-time to create organic football realism across a variety of interactions on the pitch.”, but unfortunately this will not be available to PC gamers which is a shame as the feature will only be available on playstation5, Xbox series x/s and Stadia. The rest of all the consoles will be getting a stripped-down version of it along with the PC.

EA has come to this decision because, according to them, the people who actually play FIFA are not the people putting together beefy gaming computers, but rather, they are people who have consoles or people with not very high-end specs on their PCs. “When we looked at what generation to put the PC game on, we looked at our fans and what capabilities they had with the hardware they have,” executive producer Aaron McHardy told Eurogamer last November regarding the decision to do the same split with FIFA 21.

The game also has other features like career mode, volta football, pro clubs, and the FIFA ultimate team. More details about the game will unravel through the summer. For the second time in a row, FIFA cover will include the Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe, a global star on its cover. The game will also allow the players to play many important tournaments like the UEFA champions league, UEFA Europa League, and the brand-new Europa conference league.

FIFA 22 is said to release on October 1, and people will be able to preorder its ultimate edition by august 11 and will be able to get the FUT heroes player item from December 1. In addition to this, the EA Play+ members will get early access to FIFA 22 along with monthly in-game rewards.
